The function As a Bartender at Bellamere, your primary responsibility is to help us ensure our weddings and events go off without a hitch! This means you: » Act as a welcoming and gracious host to all guests and team members » Be attentive, friendly, valuable and courteous to all guests and team members » Serve beverages to guests according to Bellamere's guidelines and specifications » Prepare and close bar in conformity with Bellamere's bar standards » Clear/clean tables according to Bellamere's guidelines and specifications » Support with preparatory tasks and side work tasks to ensure all guests are served promptly and efficiently » Be familiar with standard bar rail, mixed beverages or speciality beverages for the assigned function, including guest allergies » Respond quickly to guest problems, complaints or accidents, communicating with the Banquet Captains as needed » Protects Bellamere and it's guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies » Understand proper drink and wine service, monitoring beverage consumption and covering issues of intoxication using Smart Serve expertise and communicating with Banquet Captains » Support with other tasks as may be required What you bring to the table » Availcapability to work mid-week, weekends, evenings and holidays » Reliable transportation to and from Bellamere » High school diploma or equivalent » A minimum of 1 year of serving, bartending or related practice » Smart Serve Certification » Legally entitled to work in Canada » Excellent oral and written communication expertise » A availability to lgain and an openness to feedback, coaching and mentorship » A positive attitude and capability to work well under pressure with all staff » Able to work in a predominately standing position for long periods of time » Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food or dishes when necessary » Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes following Bellamere's uniform policies » Previous practice in the food and beverage industry is a bonus, but not required!
