Job Opportunity: Dyslexia Adviser:Job description:Job location: Chichester Working within a network of multidisciplinary teams this compensateing function contributes to supporting our students to achieve their goals. The Dyslexia Adviser provides information, advice and guidance to current and prospective students with a range of specific learning difficulties. This includes offering an initial meeting and/or screening appointment to current students or offer-holders with possible or confirmed specific learning difficulties e.g. dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD; plus assistance with the Disabled Students' Allowance application process. The Adviser will also evaluate and arrange adjustments for students in order to support them to participate fully in academic life and meet their potential. An additional facet to the function is responsibility for the delivery of high quality, one-to-one study expertise tuition to students in order to encourage independent learning and facilitate academic progress. It's essential you have significant practice, professional qualifications and are familiar with current issues regarding support for students with dyslexia/specific learning difficulties in higher education. With some flexibility on working days and hours the post will be located at least one day each week at our Bishop Otter Campus, Chichester.
