- THE function -

The postholder will work on a 12-month research project awarded by UKRI-NERC to Dr S. Benetti (PI) in collaboration with Durham University and the University of Brighton. The aim of the project is to identify drilling sites for an IODP (International Ocean Discovery Programme) proposal focused on the reconstruction of the inception, growth and decay of the British-Irish Ice Sheet (BIIS) during the Cenozoic.

- ABOUT YOU -

- Hold a completed (or near completion) PhD in Geology, Marine Geology, Marine Geosciences, Geophysics or a related subject area
- Have a good expertise of seismic interpretation software
