The UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (GOS ICH), together with its clinical partner Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH), forms the largest concentration of children's health research in Europe. Our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of children, and the adults they will become, through world-class research, education and public engagement. The post holder will work as part of a small team providing administrative support to the Developmental Biology and Cancer Department, one of five Research and Teaching Departments at GOS ICH. The Department Admin Teams have a varied function, providing support in a number of areas, including HR, Finance, Research and Education. They also provide day-to-day operational support.
The position provides an excellent opportunity to develop a wide variety of expertise to a high level.
The prosperous candidate will have excellent administrative and organisational expertise and highly accurate and meticulous record keeping expertise. Administrative work within the Higher Education sector or similar is desirable. They will be efficient, enthusiastic, organised and take a proactive approach to their work. They will be able to work independently, as well as part of a team. The function requires interaction with a wide variety of staff both within and external to UCL, and a professional attitude, availability to help and a positive outlook are essential.
