We provide employcapability assessments, job search strategies, training and employment placement services. PEHC is hiring a Lead Hand to support the Building New Futures Together project. This project will build a community of micro (400 sq. ft) single-unit homes in partnership with Chippewas of the Thames First Nation as part of the Building New Futures Together (BNFT) project. BNFT is an innovative, first of its kind program that pairs 12-week hands-on training with residential construction. Job location: Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Position Summary: Reporting to the Construction Technology Training Facilitator, you will support the day-to-day operations of the BNFT site build, lead a team of participants through the hands-on process of residential building, and ensure safe construction site practices. Requirements: » practice in construction, working with and leading construction crews » Working expertise of the Ontario Health and Safety Act, construction regulations and safe construction site practices » capability to understand and interpret blueprints » Strong measurement and construction math expertise » Drivers license preferred Contract Position : 12-16 weeks income Range: $20 to $25 per hour, located on practice Hours of Work: 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday PEHC is an equal opportunity employer and invites all qualified candidates to apply.
