Head of Beef and Sheep Research Principal Scientific agent:Job description:Job location: Belfast AFBI is seeking an practiced and enthusiastic scientist to join it's team to lead and deliver an ambitious beef and sheep research programme whose impact should be felt both locally and globally. The prosperous candidate will have the unique opportunity to influence the design and building of new multi million pound research facilities and a next generation model for the delivery of research, KT and education, in collaboration with CAFRE. The prosperous candidate will have the opportunity to lead and further develop a research programme with a key focus on producing meat from beef and sheep systems in a sustainable manner while optimising the delivery of ecosystems services . This is an exciting opportunity for an animal scientist to develop and deliver research programmes utilising state of the art facilities and further advance AFBI Hillsborough as a leading centre of skills in the area of beef and sheep production from grass-located systems.
