Job Opportunity: Post Doctoral Research Associate in Advanced Structural Characterisation of New Ino:Job description:Job location: Liverpool A three-year postdoctoral position is available for exceptional candidates with high-level skills in the advanced structural characterisation of new inorganic materials. You should have a strong publication track record and demonstrated commitment to research excellence. skills in structure solution using at least one of X-ray or neutron diffraction or advanced transmission electron microscopy is essential. This position forms part of an interdisciplinary team working with computer scientists on the Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council Programme Grant ?Digital Navigation of Chemical Space for Function? to develop a new approach to materials design and discovery exploiting both machine learning and symbolic AI, demonstrated by the realisation of new functional materials. The project combines experimental and computational approaches. We welcome applications from ambitious researchers with the skills to contribute to the project goal across chemistry, physics and materials science.The project environment will facilitate the development of new skills and the demonstration of creativity and leadership abilities. You should have PhD in Chemistry, Physics or Materials Science. The post is available on a fixed term basis until 2nd May 2025.
