Applications are sought for a committed Research Fellow, to work with Professor Karen Brown conducting research for a UKRI-funded project entitled ?Shared Island Stories between Scotland and the Caribbean: Past, Present, Future' due to commence in September 2022.
The primary tasks will be to contribute at an advanced level to project research activities. In particular, the appointee will be expected to: provide leadership abilities on historical research; research and research a new book on the topic of collections, colonialism and Scottish and Caribbean islands; work in collaboration with the PI and other team members.
The prosperous applicant will have a PhD in History, Museum and Heritage Studies, or a cognate discipline and have advanced skills in histories of the Caribbean or Scotland.
The post is fixed-term for 18 months, starting 4 January 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter.
