This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving department within Student Services at the University of East Anglia. You will be a core member of the Life and Learning section of Student Services. Working shifts, as part of a 24/7 staffing team, you will work proactively and reactively with the student community and contribute to the University response to a range of activities both during and outside of usual office hours. As a main point of contact, outside of ordinary office hours, the Residential Life Advisers significantly engage with the student cohort, individually and as a group, listening to concerns, seeking to understand specific needs and working collegiately with them to meet these needs.
You will work towards building a strong sense of a campus community which is integrated, inclusive and supports a range of positive student practices. Underpinning support will be available from a small team of student volunteer, Student Services Residents (SSRs), whose operational work is co-ordinated by the Residential Life Advisers.
This post is available immediately on a full-time, indefinite basis and will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
We strongly encourage candidates from Black, Asian or other minority ethnic backgrounds and welcome applications from all protected groups as defined by the Equality Act 2010. Appointment will be made on merit.
Closing date: 15 September 2022

Our aim is to submit to the Race Equality Charter in 2024.
