Sport and Exercise manager (x3):Job description:Job location: Worcester Job location: Severn Campus ContractType: Fixed Term - 36 Months This post provides an exciting opportunity for the selected candidate to develop their leadership abilities and management expertise. Working across the University's indoor and outdoor sport facilities, including the University Arena, the Riverside Building and St Johns Campus Sport Centre. The post-holder will assist the sport management team to deliver an efficient and coherent service to all users. The School of Sport & Exercise Science has access to a range of sports facilities that include: the Worcester Arena a 2000 seat capacity, 3 basketball court sport venue, designed for mobility impaired athletes all over (2012). The St. John's Campus Sport Centre has a 6 badminton court sports hall, fitness centre, 3G astro turf, gymnasia and significant off campus grass playing fields. The Riverside Centre (2011) provides 2 large physical activity spaces with multi-purpose sprung floors for indoor mini - games and dance, plus smaller teaching rooms and a sport analysis teaching room with views to the two larger teaching spaces. There is a social learning internet café space making this a very attractive community venue. Additionally, in January 2016, the University completed purchase of Lakeside Campus, a 50 acre outdoor activity and sport site just 4 miles from St. John's Campus. The prosperous candidate will demonstrate an excellent work ethic and display an advanced capability to problem solve and lead a team of staff.
