BLAST Research Administrative adjunct (22 hours per week):Job description:Job location: Brighton Are you a committed, flexible and co-operative Research Administrative adjunct who will undertake the varied administrative activities required to support BLAST? If you are we would love to hear from you. This varied function will include organising and supporting our workshops, research projects, and related activities as well as handling enquiries from multiple stakeholders and ensuring our website, social media and publicity material are current. You will have a proven record of: » Being able to manage a busy workload systematically » Using time efficiently and meeting priorities and deadlines with a minimum of supervision. » practice of committee servicing » Familiarity with basic IT packages such as MS Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. By 2050 there will be more people on Earth aged over 65 than under 18. The BLAST Network (building links in ageing science and translation) co-directed by Professor Richard Faragher and Professor Lynne Cox is a UK-wide effort bringing together scientists, clinicians, entrepreneurs and policy makers to translate the latest discoveries concerning the fundamental mechanisms driving the ageing process into policy and practice. BLAST is funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council and the Medical Research Council. This is a part-time, 22 hours a week, fixed term post for 20 months.
