Are you an practiced marketing and communications professional who is used to working with a diverse client group?
Do you enjoy the challenge of a varied workload with competing demands and deadlines? If so, this full-time and continuing function could be the perfect next step in your career.
In this post you will undertake marketing and communications activity for our Careers and Employcapability Service (CES), playing an important part in maximising student engagement with the service, helping to promote significant activities and events, as well as raising the profile of the department across the University and beyond.
The function is varied and fast-paced, so requires a good amount of flexibility along with an capability to think clearly under pressure to handle and resolve situations that arise. An knowledge of higher education would be ideal but is not essential.
What you can expect to be doing day to day
   » Creating and disseminating a wide variety of creative and effective communications
   » Delivery of both short-term and long-term digital communication plans, supporting the delivery of the Employcapability Strategy
   » Sharing content across digital platforms (such as newsletters, social media and websites) ensuring that it is effective, attractive, conforms to accessibility requirements, is easy to navigate and that it is up-to-date, engaging and on-brand
What you will bring to this function
   » Demonstrable knowledge and knowledge of communications or marketing, ideally gained in the Higher Education sector
   » Proven practice of producing targeted and effective written communications
   » practice of using social media (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) for business purposes
   » practice of using connected software to create and maintain webpages
