Offer: Lecturer in Health Psychology:Job description:Job location: Kingston upon Thames The Psychology Department seeks a specialist with expert expertise in Health or Wellbeing Psychology. This is a career-defining opportunity at the heart of a vibrant department whose interests and activities centre on issues significant to Health and Clinical Psychology You will plan, deliver, and assess across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules, including the Psychology of Health and Wellbeing. Familiarity with topics in mental health or psychotherapeutic psychology would be an advantage. You will use technologies and approaches to deliver a high-quality education that seeks to nurture students' inquisitive minds and transform them into critical-thinking professionals You'll develop your profile of high-quality publications, develop proposals, supervise research students, and contribute to the prosperous research environment of the Department. You will benefit from membership of the Clinical and Applied Behavioural Research Group which has an excellent reputation for high quality research. Working side-by-side with talented colleagues you'll share expertise and skills, pursuing opportunities that will generate profitable earnings and supporting students with valuable placements wherever possible. The Person You will hold or be near the completion of a doctorate in the field of Health, Wellbeing or Psychotherapeutic Psychology and bring with you a recognised teaching or learning qualification. If you have not already achieved the significant level of UKPSF recognition, we will need you to do so before the end of your probation period. On a personal level, going above and beyond to deliver exceptional teaching and support to our students will be your core motivation. You will use your practice of working to promote integrated professional practice across everything you do, imparting practical applications to psychological expertise to students that they will take with them in their future careers. Constantly seeking to improve, you will build a portfolio of original research and work collaboratively to enhance the faculty's reputation in higher education and occupational circles.
