Job Offer: Lecturer in Health & Social Care - Maternity cover:Job description:Job location: Selby Heart of Yorkshire Education Group are looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer in Health and Social Care, this is a fixed term position covering maternity leave and will end in July 2023. The key purpose of the function is to teach across both Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care, including T- Level Health. practice of course leadership abilities and the delivery of Level 2 and 3 CACHE courses is important for this function. located at Selby College within rural North Yorkshire, you will have the opportunity to deliver high quality teaching to motivated students who are willing to learn. The prosperous candidate will be expected to: Teach on Level 2 and Level 3 Health and Social Care and T-Level Health Deliver an excellent teaching and learning practice to students via the use of well-planned and structured lessons Through teaching; contribute to the development of the curriculum area according to specialism including the preparation of learning materials, student assessments and technology-located resources. Effectively and efficiently undertake the administrative tasks required by internal systems and external bodies. This will include course leadership abilities activities and student administration. Assess, monitor, review and evaluate student progress, keeping accurate records of assessments and using college reporting systems as directed. Person Specification: A teaching qualification and a degree in a related subject are essential for this function. A professional qualification in Health and Social Care e.g. RGN is desirable. The prosperous candidate will have practice of teaching Level 2 and 3 Health and social care in a Further Education setting. Candidates with an knowledge of CACHE courses and processes will have a distinct advantage. A positive attitude and good communication expertise are essential as is enthusiasm and empathy in working with students aged 16+ Terms and Conditions: Hours: 37 hours per week Holidays: 37 days per annum for the full year (actual is dependent on start date) plus, statutory bank holidays income: £23,735 to £34,259 depending on practice and qualifications.
