We are seeking to appoint a Technical Tutor to support sound production and recording at UCA Farnham. You will be working with courses including Film, Music, Acting and other specialist subjects, and you will be providing technical support to students and staff. Your responsibilities include ensuring allocated equipment, spaces and resources are appropriately prepared, configured, functioning, replenished, issued and maintained in line with University requirements.
Within the Technical Tutor position, you will deliver technical workshops, tutorials and support sound production on Film, Music, Foley, ADR recording, radio drama, and contribute to a variety of performance workflows. You will also on occasion be required to set up and operate a range of sound equipment and support staff and students in all aspects of performance activities. You will work closely with various departments to ensure a high standard of sound recording for the use on student projects.
You will contribute to the care and maintenance of equipment and be responsible for the health and safety in your area of competence. You will also have excellent communication expertise, be a good team worker and be able to demonstrate an aptitude for dealing tactfully with students and staff. The capability to work under pressure is essential.
