An innovative practitioner, with commitment to the learning environment are essential qualities for this function as Tutoron both degree courses (Integrative Counselling Theory & Practiceand Health & Wellbeing Practice). Acquiring academic expertise for our students is pivotal to their continued development, not only for success on programmes whilst studying at CU Coventry, but also in the wider context of progression into appropriate and significant employment. this function has been created to ensure there is a specific focus on programmes in improving the student practice by contributing to the delivery onthecourses,significant, inspiring and thought-provoking approaches.
You will work in the Health and Social Care area and be central to creatingthe best learning environment for our students to embed robust academic practice into assignment production. You will work collaboratively with Course Leaders and Tutors onboth degreeprogrammesto ascertain specific delivery approaches required to provide the best practice for students. You will be engaged with personal tutoring, to small groups, and you will participate positively in writing innovative assignments; provide genuinely robust feedback for improvement, and ensure you are maintaining your professional development. You will work in conjunction with Learning Resources teams, especially, the Academic Writing Tutor(s) so that our students are fully enhanced with necessary expertise to succeed.
It is essential you hold at least aMaster's Degreein a significant discipline or anequivalent professional qualification with significant practical work practice in a related discipline. You will have or be willing to achieve a significant teaching qualification such as PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/ Fellow) accreditation.
