Job Opportunity: Clinical Research Fellow:Job description:Job location: Edinburgh Closing date 08/09/2022, 5pm. Full time - 40 Hours per week Fixed Term, available from 1st August 2022 to 31st July 2025 Ageing and Health (Centre for Population Health Sciences) at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is seeking a talented medical doctor interested in undertaking a PhD as a Clinical Research Fellow. The Opportunity: The post holder will investigate predictors of geriatric results (e.g., falls, delirium, incontinence, etc.) in the Lothian Birth Cohort 1936. This will entail training in and application of epidemiological and health informatics methods and interrogating of consenting participants' electronic medical records. They will also spend the equivalent of one day a week working on clinical trials at the Clinical Research Facility at the Western General Hospital with the NRS Neuroprogressive and Dementia Network. The Lothian Birth Cohorts and the Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Research Centre have close links with internationally-recognised research groups in Edinburgh together with international collaborations across the world.
