We are pursuing to expand our team of Discapability Assessors and are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and empathic individual to assess and support disabled students.

located within the Discapability & Wellbeing Service and working 21 hours per week on a term-time basis (August - April) the postholder will have responsibility for conducting discapability needs assessments for students with specific learning difficulties/dyslexia. Educated to degree level, you will have significant, prosperous practice of supporting students in higher or further education and, ideally, some practice of completing needs assessments. You will work closely with Discapability Advisers to ensure students' support requirements are effectively met. You will have a sound knowledge of the barriers practiced by students with disabilities in higher education.

This post is initially fixed-term for 3 years from appointment. The Discapability & Wellbeing Service opens four evenings per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) until 8pm during term time. The prosperous candidate will be required to work one afternoon shift each week (12pm to 8pm) to cover this provision.
