Job Opportunity: Postdoctoral Research Fellow:Job description:Job location: Exeter, Work in the house This full-time, UKRI funded post is available from 1 October 2022 to 1 August 2024 the University of Exeter Law School (with possible extension for up to an additional three years). this function offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some in the house. The post You will work with Dr RebeccaK. Helm in a new evidence-located research centre in the University of Exeter Law School. The post will involve research in empirical law and psychology and law, primarily on a project examining memory and testimony evaluation in legal contexts. This research will utilise a range of techniques including normative legal research, empirical research, and behavioural and neuroimaging experimental work. In addition to conducting research, the prosperous candidate will contribute to the writing of books, papers, and articles, present work at national and international conferences, and contribute to seminars or other events connected with the project. About you The prosperous applicant will: » possess a significant PhD or equivalent qualification/practice in a related field of study » have an interest in psychology and law and empirical law » be able to develop research objectives and make presentations at conferences and other events » able to work collaboratively, supervise the work of others and act as team leader as required » be able to conduct experimental work, and some expertise of empirical research methods or neuroimaging research methods is desired Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification (available on the university's website, accessed by the apply button) for full details of this function.
