If so, this position could be ideal for you. In this function, you will manage a team to support all elements of Student practice within the Division of Law, Society and Social Justice, including developing the strategy for Student Success and Attainment in order to reduce attainment gaps and ensure all students, regardless of background, get the most from their studies at Kent. In doing so, you will be contributing to the overall mission of the Division, managing a small team focussed on student practice and attainment. You will work alongside both professional services and academic function holders within the Division to operationalise interventions and resource toolkits to meet the success targets of the division. As Student Success & Attainment Manager you will: » Contribute to the strategic development and operational delivery of the Student Success, Attainment and practice agenda » Manage all student success, attainment and practice related projects, interventions and activities within the Division » In collaboration with significant academic and professional service colleagues and Academic Champions, supervise the development and embedding of evidence-located interventions » Lead, motivate and develop significant staff, providing clear objectives and managing performance against these, to ensure that staff are appropriately motivated and trained To be prosperous in the function you will have/be: » Substantial practice of working in an administrative function within HE » practice of designing and implementing academic interventions to enable student success » Knowledge and knowledge of University regulations, policies and procedures relating to academic administration, (e.g. Credit Framework for Taught Programmes, University Codes of Practice for Quality Assurance, Regulations) and practice of applying these » Good staff management expertise, including the capability to motivate others and manage the allocation of work What can we offer you?
