We are pursuing to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) with a professional background as a pharmacist to contribute to the work of the Health and Social Care Qualifications in the School. If appointed, your work will primarily contribute to the design, development and delivery of content relating to NMP but there will be opportunity to inform the preparation of readiness for prescribing for nursing students preparing to work as Registered Nurses. As a Senior Lecturer, you will bring to the function skills in research and scholarship as evidenced by continuing professional development and measurable outputs. If appointed, we commit to continuing to support you in undertaking research and / or scholarship to help maintain the leading-edge reputation of teaching within the School of Health, Wellbeing and Social Care (HWSC). To ensure compliance with regulatory bodies that have approved NMP provision, the prosperous applicant will need to be a qualified and registered pharmacist to maintain NMP approval with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Ideally candidates will possess a post graduate teaching qualification. prosperous candidates for Senior Lecturer functions should hold a PhD or equivalent professional practice.
