Offer: Senior Software Engineer ServiceNow:Job description:Job location: Guildford About the function You will be developing and configuring ServiceNow applications, leading the way for improvements and efficient use of our ServiceNow platform. As part of the Business Applications Support team, you will work alongside practiced application specialists and software engineers to help our professional services staff make best use of our systems and services. You will collaborate with University staff in order to develop our services to better suit their needs. What you'll do » Use your expertise and practice in ServiceNow development to design and implement best practice ServiceNow located solutions to improve the efficiency of professional services procedures. » Write clear, concise and accurate technical documentation, such as requirements, system design, use case diagrams, sequence diagrams and class diagrams » Participate in administration of ServiceNow platform, including issue and performance mitigation, health checks, deployment of features and ServiceNow platform upgrades » Perform upkeep on existing solutions (e.g. business rules, UI policies, client scripts, ACLs, workflows, dashboard & reporting, data imports, service catalog development, etc.) » Monitor and optimize the health, usage, and overall compliance of the ServiceNow platform » Identify system deficiencies and divergences from best practice within the production instance » Advise colleagues on design, development and overall best practice configuration of ServiceNow What you'll bring » Your enthusiasm for technology and problem solving » Your formidable expertise in: » Advanced ServiceNow development expertise - Business Rules, Client Scripts, Workflows, Form Design, UI Actions » Application Development and customization » Service Portal Development » REST and SOAP API - Integration development » CMDB » expertise of ITSM » expertise Management » Your demonstrable clear verbal and written communication expertise » An capability to apply your breadth of expertise to a variety of situations The University of Southampton is a research driven institution, home to some of the world's leading minds, expanding our expertise and passing it on to future generations. iSolutions is the University's IT support service whose 230+ staff support the delivery of the University's research and education activities as well as the usual business operations.
