The Oxford-Janssen Cartography collaboration is a large, ambitious project that aims to provide insights into pathogenic pathways across immune mediated inflammatory disorders (IMIDs) and other disease areas to enable target identification, patient stratification, biomarker discovery and combination rationales. IMIDs are classified located on the organ system affected, however genetic association studies, functional studies, and clinical response to treatment with immunomodulatory medications, suggest that there is substantial mechanistic overlap between IMIDs. The collaboration will create a cross-disease, cross-tissue cell atlas combining multi-omic single cell analysis, functional studies and clinical phenotyping across multiple workstreams (gastroenterology, dermatology, rheumatology, oncology, infectious disease, vaccines and neuroscience).

As Project Manager for Cartography you will coordinate activities within and across the workstreams, driving productive interactions between Oxford and Janssen. You will regularly report to an Oxford-Janssen Research Management Team, working closely with the lead researchers to ensure each workstream is on track to meet milestones and targets. You will be responsible for ensuring the project progresses smoothly in line with the grant terms and conditions and identifying risks. You will communicate effectively with Departmental Administrators and colleagues in finance teams, HR teams, Research Services and the Business Partnerships Office.

You will Hold a postgraduate degree or equivalent practice in a significant area of research.You will have strong intellectual and analytical expertise, together with excellent communication expertise (both orally and in writing) and the capacity to deal effectively with a range of complex issues in a University environment. Good project management expertise and the capability to gain the trust and confidence of people at all levels, both within and outside Oxford, are also essential. practice of supporting complex projects and providing solutions is essential.

The post is part-time (18.75 hours per week) and fixed-termuntil31/12/2024.

Whilst the function is a Grade 8 position, we would be willing to consider candidates with potential but less practice who are seeking a development opportunity, for which the appointment would be at Grade 7 (£33,309-£40,927p.a. pro rata for part time) with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly. This would be discussed with candidates at interview/appointment where appropriate.
