this function offers the opportunity to use your interpersonal expertise and attention to detail to support the Employer Engagement and Careers team who help our students to take the next step in their Career, with the capacity to develop your expertise of Careers and Employer Engagement.
You will manage our Careers Management platform and act as the first point-of-contact for employers wishing to connect with Birkbeck, post vacancies, and engage with students.
You will promote our varied functions to Birkbeck students and alumni. This could include writing adverts, posting functions on our job portals, promoting functions through our social media channels, creating appealing email bulletins and building links with significant academic departments.
You will change lives - helping our students and alumni to make a career transition or to take the important next step in their career journey.
Birkbeck Futures is in an exciting period of development, creating careers and microplacement modules that will be included as core curriculum. You will play a key part in this - providing crucial administrative support for the development and delivery of the modules. You could also get involved in other aspects of Birkbeck Futures' work, which encompasses all of our Careers and Enterprise activities.
You should be confident multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment, with the capability to quickly analyse feedback and data to identify opportunities for improving student, alumni and employer engagement with our services.
Remuneration:
Grade 4 of the College's London Pay Scale which is£27,727 rising to £31,096 per annum
The income quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
