If you have practice of managing academic courses, and a track record of teaching and convenorship at Foundation level in the higher education sector, this is an exceptional opportunity to take the next step in your career.

We are seeking for our next Programme Manager in the International Programmes Department, someone who will bring broad programme management expertise and practice as well as an enthusiasm for enhancing the student practice through leadership abilities, creativity and team work.

You will coordinate the delivery of our International Programmes' Foundation Courses (IFP and integrated Foundation) for both Home and International students, improving the general student practice and the systems connected with inter-departmental liaison, pastoral care, applicant communications and admissions.

As well as delivering some subject teaching yourself, you'll be responsible for our team of Tutors, supporting them to develop their teaching methodologies and encouraging a professional and supportive team culture.

As Programme Manager (Foundation), you can expect to get involved in:
   » managing and coordinating the curriculum and delivery of the IFP and Year 0 of significant University with a foundation year degree courses
   » coordinating and implementing the Foundation-related elements of the University's Global Engagement Strategy
   » keeping abreast of developments in Foundation provision (International and Home), advising and communicating to internal and external stakeholders
   » coordinating timetabling and assessment to ensure high-quality provision and compliance with regulations
   » line managing the Foundation Subject Tutors and teaching on some of our provision

   » a postgraduate degree or broad equivalent practice in the field/industry
   » demonstrable practice of leadership abilities and management of academic courses
   » broad practice of leadership abilities and management of academic colleagues
   » evidence of, and a personal commitment to, developing excellence in teaching (for oneself and others) and supporting learning with engagement in CPD, including promoting teaching through new technologies
