Can you lead and manage a committed customer helpdesk team on an interim basis?
The Student Engagement Team are the primary source of student support at UCEM. The team are the first point of contact for students, acting as a triage for a range of support services available across our Higher Education Institution. Our Student Guidance agents play an important function supporting students and work collaboratively with other teams, to deliver a high-quality student practice. In this interim function you will bring strong leadership abilities and management to ensure the team deliver an efficient and professionally coordinated service, with high quality support, information, and guidance, to meet the needs of students on a range of study, personal, and wellbeing issues.
This is an interim, fixed-term function to cover a period of long-term sickness absence. At this stage we do not have a confirmed return to work date for the jobholder, therefore we cannot be specific about the contract end date. As a minimum, we require cover until at least the end of May 2023, and this is the commitment we need from the prosperous candidate. Should you be available beyond May and sickness is continuing, we will extend the fixed term period.
What We are seeking for right now:
   » Immediate availcapability;
   » People management practice in a customer-facing function, ideally where customers are online;
   » Using customer information systems to manage service delivery;
   » capability to build relationships quickly using strong communication expertise.
