The Humanities Division at the University of Oxford is inviting expressions of interest from candidates wishing to apply for a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship to be located in one of the Humanities Faculties. The scheme opens on 5 July 2023. Candidates selected will be provided with support to develop and submit their applications to the BA. Candidates need to check carefully the detailed guidance for the scheme to ensure they are eligible. Broadly, the eligibility conditions are: » British citizens and any nationals from the European Economic Area are eligible, regardless of where their doctorate was obtained. Anyone of any nationality who has a doctorate from a UK university is eligible. If an applicant does not meet these prior categories, they may be accepted if they can demonstrate ?strong prior association' with the UK academic community. » candidates are expected to have completed their viva voce between 1 April 2021 and 1 April 2024. » Previously unprosperous candidates will only be able to submit another application if specifically invited to do so by the British Academy. Interested candidates should contact a potential manager in the significant Humanities Faculty as soon as possible. managers need to be permanent post-holders in the Faculty in question, and all Expressions of Interest must have the agreement and confirmed support from a manager. The internal Faculty deadlines and processes for submitting expressions of interest are listed on the Humanities Division website.
