Job Opportunity: Postdoctoral Researcher in Parkinson?s Digital Health:Job description:Job location: Oxford We are seeking for a postdoctoral candidate with significant prior practice in MLA approaches applied at DPhil level, who can undertake focused and integrated research in developing digital biomarkers predicting the risk of developing future PD in this important prodromal group. The prosperous applicant will lead on Deep Learning and Machine Learning Algorithm (MLA) approaches to diagnose, stratify and measure progression in Parkinson's and prodromal Parkinson's patients from the OPDC Discovery cohort. The prodromal cohort comprises 300 polysomnographically-diagnosed patients with REM sleep behavior disorder, who have a 6% per year chance of future conversion to Parkinson's or related disorders. This will involve working with and communicating with staff from the OPDC cohort team, other departments and hospitals (including engineers at IBME (Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Oxford University), clinicians across Oxford, Sheffield, Liverpool and Cambridge, and <5 US NAPS study sites. It is essential that the post-holderholds a significant PhD/DPhil in a significant area with appropriate practice in deep learning architectures, data fusion and end to end machine learning. It is desirable that the post-holder has practice working with data from Parkinson's, RBD, or neurodegenerative dementia patients.
