Offer: Visiting Tutors in Information Technology, Digital Technologies &/or Computing:Job description:Job location: London We are recruiting additional visiting tutors to join our new group organisation, Roehampton Education Services Ltd to contribute to our pre-degree, technical and vocational education, undertaken on behalf of the University of Roehampton. This is an exciting time to join Roehampton Education Services Ltd, as we develop and grow vocational education. We welcome candidates from a technical and/or creative educational background, alongside those working directly with industry. The prosperous candidate will join our team to teach on our School of Continuing Education pre-degree, technical and vocational offer including Foundation/ extended degree, HND/HNC and short courses/ CPD in Information Technology, Digital Technologies and/or Computing. The appointment will involve teaching, managing and delivering modules and may also involve contributing to student teaching and pastoral support. We encourage a diverse and flexible approach to teaching, learning and assessment, combining workshops, lectures, seminars, practical exercises, group and individual work to student-led discussions. We ensure our curriculum and teaching team actively support excellent student results through engagement with academic success, employcapability and work-located experiential learning. We also support students by providing structured independent activities and material that extend beyond scheduled contact time. prosperous candidates will have practice in education and/or training using many of the teaching and learning approaches listed above, as well as with supporting students, and marking assessments. Industry practice is desirable as is practice with virtual learning environments. We are pursuing individuals who are: student-centred; demonstrate excellent interpersonal and analytical expertise; able to work with a wide variety of students and can work flexibly. We are seeking to appoint to start immediately from December 2023 / January 2024, and will interview as we receive applications. Thus, please do not wait to apply if interested in the function. The rate of pay for Visiting Tutors teaching pre-degree and/or undergraduate level is £55.00 per hour. This rate includes: contact time, preparation, marking, and annual leave. Additional responsibilities (agreed in advance by the Director of School) are paid at the rate of £25.96 per hour.
