Postdoctoral Research adjunct:Job description:Job location: London About the function A Postdoctoral Research adjunct position is available at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) in Dr Oriol Planas's group, to work on the EPSRC-funded project ?Cooperative Noble Base Metal Catalysis?. About You The prosperous candidate should have a PhD in Chemistry. They should provide evidence of skills in organometallic synthesis, catalysis and main group chemistry. A proven track record of published research in low-valent main group compounds is highly desirable. Self-motivation, an capability to lead a project and excellent research management and interpersonal skills are essential. The post-holder will conduct research on the development and application of cooperative systems located on low-valent main group compounds and base metal complexes, with the goal of developing new catalytic systems. The prosperous candidate will be expected to design experiments, analyse the experimental data and report it in the form of conference presentations and research papers. The candidate will join a vibrant and multi-disciplinary research team with passion for innovation and impact. They will have the opportunity to travel to conferences and visit potential collaborators. About the School The School of Physical and Chemical Sciences has a strong research output and demanding educational standards for its students, but all members benefit from a high level of academic and social integration.
