In children's health research, we are interested in studying childhood disease, improving the quality of life of children living with illness, as well as encouraging health promoting behaviours within the child, family and community. The Department of Paediatrics, Western University, at LHSC, is rapidly expanding its clinical research support team and is actively recruiting Research Coordinators and Research adjuncts for multiple positions in all areas of child health. Our dynamic research team works together to support the research programs of more than 120 clinical faculty members in 11 clinical divisions. Sponsored clinical trials are a large part of what we do here; however, local research in children's health encompasses a much broader range of research study types, including natural history, patient practice, and clinical improvement studies. Some examples of current research projects recruiting research personnel, include: » Sponsored clinical trials in the divisions of Clinical Hospitalist Medicine, Clinical Pharmacology and Cardiology. » New imaging techniques to identify lower levels of bone density in children who have been treated with steroids to identify and treat fractures before they occur. » Planetary health and the interplay between the health of children and the environment. Minimum requirements for all positions are a bachelor's degree, preferably in a science- or health-related field, and 1 years' practice in clinical research, including ethics and study documentation. Specific job requirements vary depending on the position. Hybrid and in-person positions with full-time or part-time hours are available in a dynamic research environment with a great team, and opportunities to grow in your function.
