Offer: Development and Alumni Relations Manager:Job description:Job location: Newport income: Grade 8 - £33,966 to £37,099 per annum (The point of entry will be dependent upon significant qualifications and practice) Closing Date: 21 February 2024 23.59 hours GMT Are you keen for your work to make the difference? Do you have excellent communication, research and organisational expertise, coupled with professional fundraising practice, and are passionate about building significant relationships with varied partners? Reporting directly to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR), in a newly created post in a prosperous, collaborative and expanding team, the Development and Alumni Relations Manager (DARM) will be a self-starter, practiced in a professional fundraising function. The post holder will facilitate increased opportunities for the department to raise funds, through a variety of channels, including research to enable the bid for support from trusts and foundations. With a varied workload due to potential funding opportunities, prosperous candidates should respond positively to new challenges and be capable of making effective decisions. They will also be expected to continue the development of the University's alumni relations programme, and to deliver plans which lead to greater interaction with alumni. The Development and Alumni Relations team sits within the Office of the Vice-Chancellor. In addition to engaging with the University's Alumni community, it includes the Development Trust, a separate charity, which comprises a group of Trustees and Patrons who support the work of the Trust, and the Trust Secretary, who is also the Director of Development and Alumni Relations. practice of working within Alumni relations whilst desirable is not essential and we would welcome applications from candidates with diverse fundraising backgrounds within education.
