Lecturer in Paramedic Science
0.4 FTE
Oxstalls Campus, Gloucester
The School of Health and Social Care is seeking an enthusiastic Paramedic to take on a function within the academic lecturing team. The University offers an innovative Paramedic Science programme to support the growing workforce for Gloucestershire and beyond.
This is a great opportunity for a current paramedic who is interested to develop their career in higher education alongside a clinical function.
This post will be focused at supporting and running expertise-located modules on the programme. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a drive and passion to develop paramedic practice and education as well as an eagerness to engage students with simulation.
Ideal candidates will have practice in both clinical and educational delivery, but this could be mentoring in practice. You will need to hold a significant level 6 degree as a minimum to underpin your teaching, however higher-level qualifications would be advantageous.
As an academic you will be expected to hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education or complete the University of Gloucestershire's Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice once in function.
This post requires a DBS check and for candidates to be current on the HCPC register.
