Who we need
We are seeking for someone who can deliver an excellent service to our students and staff in college whilst maintaining the confidentiality of safeguarding, Confidentiality and professionalism are vital in this function. Although the function is primarily to provide administrative support for the Safeguarding team, there will be opportunity to support with training and support with the management of processes essential to the college.
Key tasks of the function include:
- To monitor e-Safe referrals on a everyday basis, refer appropriately and follow up on outstanding concerns.
- Provide administrative support for safeguarding, by providing reports, arranging and note taking at meetings and maintaining confidential records
- Maintain the Safeguard system, e-Safe and other confidential records as and when required.
- To act as the main contact for those who disclose an unspent criminal conviction, pending court case, those on probation or those serving a non-custodial sentence or those with any orders.
- To act as main contact to schools and educational providers so that Safeguarding files can be managed and collected for new students that will be joining college.
What you'll bring
You will be organised, motivated and ready for a challenge in this function. You will demonstrate excellent organisational expertise, applying professionalism and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information. You will be able to apply your IT expertise to support and develop robust systems for monitoring and tracking students, as well as be confident in liaising with internal and external agencies.
- Key expertise and practice you will demonstrate are:
- A working expertise on a range of Microsoft Office packages, in particular Word and Excel.
- capability to organise own workload and prioritise tasks, and make careful judgements around situations involving risk
- Have practice of delivering several different tasks at once and meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal expertise.
