Job Offer: Clinical Lecturer in Paramedic Apprenticeships (EEAST):Job description:Job location: Cumbria Expected interview date: Wednesday 27 March 2024 Are you interested in helping to teach, shape and develop the next generation of Paramedics? The University of Cumbria has broad practice in delivering high quality paramedic education across the UK. Currently we have over 1000 learners on CPD programmes with formal contracts with 9 out of the 11 English ambulance services, as well as an open access paramedic course at our Lancaster campus. This pedigree in paramedic education has led to the creation of the Centre of Excellence in Paramedic Practice (CEPP), which recently won the Preferred Provider Status for the Southern Ambulance Alliance (SWAST, SCAS, SECAMB, LAS, IoW), East of England Ambulance Service and North West Ambulance Service for paramedic degree apprenticeships. The University now has over 900 registered learners across the 6 apprenticeship programmes. The East of England Ambulance Service , in conjunction with the University of Cumbria, are seeking applications for a 2-year secondment in the function of Clinical Lecturer. You will work with the EEAST Senior Lecturer team to deliver the University's BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science to EEAST members of staff who are undertaking the new Paramedic Science Degree Apprenticeship. The post, while a secondment to the University, will be located in EEAST however there may be the requirement to travel to neighbouring Trusts to support the delivery of the same programme. You should be an appropriately registered healthcare professional with practice of working within the pre-hospital environment as well as practice in delivering either ambulance located pre-hospital education or Higher Education Institution located healthcare education. You will be supported to complete a postgraduate certificate in education if this has not been achieved already.
