Bournemouth University's vision is worldwide recognition as a leading university for inspiring learning, advancing expertise and enriching society through the fusion of education, research and practice. Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and practices that help to build our global learning community.
The Department of Psychology is seeking to recruit two Research adjuncts to work on a project funded by Ajinomoto Health and Nutrition North America, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a literature-located project investigating the impacts of low-calorie sweeteners and sweetened products on appetite, various appetite-related measures, including biochemical results, and other aspects of dietary behaviour. The function of the Research adjuncts will be to contribute to its delivery by undertaking the primary work required, consolidating the work generated by the project and providing administrative support.
The prosperous candidate will be involved in all aspects of undertaking a systematic review, resulting in valuable practice in this increasingly popular methodology. The work will involve developing and registering a protocol for the conduct of the systematic review; article searching, screening and selection; data extraction and compilation; consulting and collaborating with the wider research team, at all points where this is required; scientific writing, to result in published abstracts and peer-reviewed papers. The work may also involve working alongside other researchers on the same project; attending conferences or meetings and presenting the work; liaising and communicating with other researchers working in similar research areas.
