Job Offer: Assessor - Science Apprenticeships (LUM10583/1090):Job description:Job location: Leeds About the function University Centre Leeds is seeking an practiced assessor to support science apprentices on their journey to success. UC Leeds currently delivers science apprenticeships from Level 3 to Level 7. What You Will Do We are seeking foran industryprofessional to assess the practical expertise of our scienceapprentices on site, whilst supporting them in building their portfolio of evidence towards the End Point Assessment. This will involve; » Managing your own caseload, arranging site visits and meeting with employers » Monitoring progress and completingprogress reviews » Liaisingwith, and provide feedback to the employer on progress against the Apprenticeship knowledge, expertise and behaviours » To produce and monitor individual learning plans for learners and contribute to their updating » Lead, contribute and participate in the assessment and quality assurance procedures for all programmes/ training provision, including Internal Verification. » Contribute to the review and evaluation process in order to ensure year on year improvements. About You » Hold a specialist qualification in the curriculum subject area at degree level. » Possess A1 Assessor units or a availability to work towards. » Level 3 teaching qualification or availability to complete within a set timeframe. » Previous practice of assessing and an knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards. » practice of teaching, training peers or transferring expertise to others. » Substantial industry practice in a significant occupational area. » knowledge and practice of current working practices within the occupational area. » practice of giving clear and constructive feedback to students to guide learning.
