Job Opportunity: Project Manager:Job description:Job location: London Corrosion Science and Engineering 0.4 FTE Job location: South Kensington, London Job Summary TheDepartment of Chemical Engineeringis seeking a Project Manager to support an exciting new research project with Petronas on corrosion science and engineering. The prosperous candidate will work with a team of research fellows and research students, providing project management and support. This post is a part-time function of 0.4 FTE, initially 12 months in the first instance. tasks and responsibilities » Organise meetings of the researchers and compile significant technical reports » Coordinate the timely delivery of research activities inline with the project timetable » Support Prof. Williams in managing the project tasks » Support procurement activities for the project and manage project budget » contact with Petronas staff in the UK and Malaysia » Set up teleconferencing for collaborative and interactive meetings » Coordinate, monitor, and support tech-transfer, and training and visitation activities Essential requirements A Ph.D. in a science or engineering discipline, and/or significant industrial practice or practice within a higher education work environment is required. A management or project management qualification is desirable but not essential. practice in corrosion located research highly desirable. more information You can start immediately and ideally no later than by 1stMay 2024. The contract will run for up to 10 months until 28 February 2025 in the first instance, with the possibility of extension subject to research funding. The post is located in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London (South Kensington Campus). *income on appointment will be limited to £45,344 per annum (pro rata).
