Offer: EHCP/ High Needs Funding Coordinator:Job description:Job location: St Albans, Welwyn Garden City Part Time Hours / 15 Hours a week - 0.4 located across St Albans & Welwyn Garden City Campus An opportunity has arisen for someone to take on an exciting, diverse and challenging function within the College. Due to the continuing emphasis within the SEN reforms and the continued focus on the Education and Health Care Plan, there is a need for someone with enthusiasm, vision and excellent organisational expertise to manage the High Needs Funding Applications across all Vocational Departments including ILS. practice within the field of Learning Difficulties and Disabilities essential. Key tasks: » Manage High Needs Funding Applications across all Departments including ILS » Manage Educational, Health and Care Plan process » Completing EHCP consultation responses, using language and terminology that is in line with our legal obligations and the SEND code of practice » Completing funding applications in line with our costing formulas, ensuring costings are accurate and clearly recorded » Ensure HNF numbers are accurately recorded, keeping precise records that can be fed back to Faculty and Finance Director as required » Represent the College at Local Authority funding panels to assist with panel decisions » Organise and when required carry out offsite assessments on potential students in conformity with EHCP guidance » Ensure EHCP paperwork is completed to required standard » Deliver training on EHCP across the College Required expertise: » Level 5 Diploma In Teaching / Working Towards » Level 2 English, Mathematics and ICT » practice of working in an FE environment » Knowledge of EHCP Process » Knowledge and knowledge of HNF Process » practice in dealing with administrative quality assurance processes and complying with audit requirement WHAT WE OFFER: » Automatic entry into the Teachers' pension Scheme. » Excellent CPD opportunities to grow and development through mentorship and coaching. » Free onsite parking. » Subsidised onsite restaurant » A cycle scheme and discounted gym membership. » great facilities to resource your capability to teach your students » Opportunities for flexible working » Staff Awards » Employee Assistance Programme Safeguarding Statement: Oaklands College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.
