Offer: Research Associate - Division of Cancer Sciences:Job description:Job location: Manchester Job reference: BMH-025315 income: £36,024 - £44,263 per annum depending on significant practice Faculty/Organisational Unit: Biology, Medicine Health Job location: CRUK Oglesby Cancer Research Building, 555 Wilmslow Road, M20 4GJ Job employment Type: Fixed Term Division/Team: Division of Cancer Sciences Hours Per Week: Full Time (1 FTE) Closing date: 11/04/2024 Contract Duration: From 01 June 2024 For up to 36 Months School/Directorate: School of Medical Sciences location_onGet directions The Genome Stcapability Lab (GSL), as part of the NEMO - Novel Early Markers for Ovarian cancer - Consortium, a highly interdisciplinary collaboration including three UK (Manchester, Cambridge and UCL) and two US (Stanford and OHSU) Centres wish to appoint a laboratory-located postdoctoral research associate to an exciting project exploring novel ways of identifying biomarkers to detect ovarian cancer at a pre-malignant stage. This position starting from 1st June 2024 is funded by CRUK-ACED, and is targeted at highly motivated individuals who are looking for an exciting project to make new discoveries in the above research area. During this position, the post-holder will undertake a range of activities to analyse and characterise different types of tissue/lavage samples obtained from patients undergoing surgery, by a wide variety of cutting-edge technology platforms, including, but not limited to, state-of-the-art spatial and quantitative proteomics.
