The function
Join our team as a Senior Marketing agent and take the lead in shaping our dynamic social media presence and innovative multi-channel campaigns. Collaborating closely with digital marketing experts, creative teams, and communication colleagues, you'll craft strategies and deliver captivating content to our vast audience, fostering significant interactions and amplifying our university's strengths.
As the driving force behind our social and digital endeavours, you'll elevate our visibility, enhance engagement, and showcase the diverse facets of our academic community and student life. Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving our recruitment and reputation goals, making a tangible impact on our university's success. What will you be doing?
   » Lead on the delivery and design of impactful global social media campaigns showcasing our leading research, world-class education and vibrant city through a network of colleagues from across Strategic Communications and Marketing.
   » supervise organic paid boosting setup.
   » Provide training and support to our nearly 500 accounts run by teams and departments from across our institution.
   » With the Marketing Manager, supervise audience insight, conduct platform reviews and have full oversight of reporting, monitoring and evaluation of our channels to ensure we're getting the best out of them.
   » With Head of Marketing, Head of Media and Marketing Manager, support with implementing and developing the University's social media strategy, policies and guidelines across the University of Bristol.
   » Provide line management to the Social Media agent.
   » Develop rapid response social media content, with a particular focus on supporting incident management communications across social media platforms.
You should apply if
   » You're a skilled social media practitioner with a proven track record of working on a high-profile brand, and able to show the real-world impact of previous social media campaigns you've worked on.
   » You have practice working on a major brand's social media strategy and presence, ideally in a HE environment and with international practice.
   » practice of all major social media platforms, data-led strategic planning and upskilling colleagues is a must, and you are able to read, understand and react to data and analytics.
   » You can confidently and diplomatically work with colleagues and peers, and look to bring new ideas to the table, with a focus on seeing what works best and keep on top of the latest trends and emerging platforms. More than anything you love social media!
Additional information
We offer a hybrid work model, where we aim to collaborate in the office at least two days a week. Our designated team days are Wednesday and Thursday. The remaining three days provide flexibility for optional remote work in the house. For those who prefer working on-site more frequently, our office space is available and open for your convenience.
