Offer: Teacher - Health and Social Care (Various Contracts Available) (LUM257/1105):Job description:Job location: Leeds About the function Contracts: x2 Maternity and x1 Part Time An exciting opportunity has become available to join our School of Health Science and Social Care team. We offer courses from Entry 3 to Level 3 for young people and adults who want to progress into the health and social care sector. We are an outstanding department with highly committed and supportive staff. We are seeking for an enthusiastic and committed Health and Social Care teacher to work across our curriculum provision. The function is open to qualified teachers with a variety of backgrounds, such as Health/Applied Sciences, Sport Sciences, Anatomy and Physiology, Psychology and other related disciplines. You will be joining an practiced, supportive team with a strong commitment to sharing ideas and resources . As a teacher, you will take responsibility for an element of curriculum provision, planning schemes of work and developing resources. You will also act as a personal tutor for a group of learners who will also comprise one of your teaching groups. Applications from practiced teachers, as well as those newer to the profession are welcome; we will be seeking to appoint a programme manager with the greatest capability, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence in the classroom Interviews are being held on either Thursday 2nd May or Friday 3rd May and will include a panel and a micro teach across 2 hours. What You Will Do » Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide variety of teaching methods for identified modules. » Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans. » Be responsible for recording student progress. » Motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their expertise to enable progression. » Teach across the curriculum levels ranging from Anatomy and physiology, science units to units such as Sociology, Pyschological Perspectives, Effective Communication IndustryPlacement Units.
