Offer: Project Implementation and Client Relations Manager - 1Med:Job description:Job location: Manchester We are seeking to recruit a function within the School of Medical Sciences, to lead and manage an established team in the delivery of technical services aligned to our Undergraduate Medical Programme and new to academic year 2024/25, the Physician's Associates Programme. The function is varied and challenging, and comes at a time of significant technological change and advancement for the School and wider University. Our technology system, 1Med, is a staff and student VLE to support the delivery of the MB ChB Programme and contains a suite of services to support undergraduate medical students in their studies, both on campus and in their clinical settings; it is utilised by students, administrators and academic and clinical tutors. 1Med manages current, comprehensive, coherent and appropriately shared information about every student all over their learning practice. It also manages a comprehensive staff profile of all involved in the management, administration and delivery of the MB ChB Programme. In addition, 1Med offers a portfolio to support students' personal and professional development and personalised timetables. For the period of this fixed term function, the post holder will provide management and leadership abilities to the 1Med team, to ensure delivery of 1Med requirements to the programmes it supports. In response to a detailed system architect review, the post holder will manage a schedule of remediation work to effect system improvements for the 1Med suite. There are significant change projects continuing across the University in the space of delivery of teaching and learning, with new a new collaborative learning environment, CANVAS, being brought in to replace the current provision (Blackboard) and also a engagement analytics system to monitor student engagement and attendance. It will be critical for the post holder to keep abreast of these developments, working with key project stakeholders to feed in requirements from the school. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional looking to develop cross organisation working, be involved with key technology development and integration, and deliver a high level of day to day service to the Medical and Health programmes in the School. The prosperous candidate will be highly technically literate with the capability to also work with a range of non-technical stakeholders.
