CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term - 24 Months income: £37,099 with incremental progression to £41,732 Expected interview date: Friday 10 May 2024 Do you have previous practice of teaching in a health-related area? Would you like to teach, shape and develop the next generation of Paramedics? This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team developing and leading the delivery of the open access BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science degree apprenticeship programme in partnership with the South West Ambulance Trust . Over recent years, Allied Health curricula (inclusive of Paramedicine) has diversified to include a broader range of subject areas. This includes an increased emphasis on biology, sociology, public health and research informed practice. In support of this, We are pursuing applications from those within and outside the paramedic profession who feel they can contribute towards providing a high quality, research informed education to our students. Our Centre of Excellence in Paramedic Practice (CEPP) is the UK's largest provider of paramedic education. The CEPP portfolio also includes our CPD programmes which has over 1700 students currently active nationally and internationally. We deliver a Degree Apprenticeship programme working in partnership with 7 Ambulance Service Trusts, with over 1100 active learners, supporting the development of their workforce to become paramedic registrants. We also run a direct entry paramedic undergraduate programme from our Lancaster campus. You will develop positive working relationships with NHS Trusts and other organisations. The University has previously been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Outstanding Employer Engagement Award and this is reflected through the collaborative working with several organisations. You will demonstrate enthusiasm for practice-located education and their specialty, and be willing to utilise a range of e-learning technologies and other strategies in order to deliver the provision of high-quality learning opportunities and the best possible student practice.
