Our School is a vibrant community committed to delivering excellent teaching in Biomedicine that results in the highest levels of student satisfaction.

We have an opportunity for a talented lecturer to organise and teach on our Biomedical Scientist degree Apprenticeship programme. The function will include liaising with NHS hospital Trusts, being a contact point for the apprentices, delivering face-to-face and remote teaching to the apprentices (they will have access to a lot of online materials), and the setting and marking of assessments.

As well as lecturing, leading seminars and superviseing practical assessments, you will prepare new teaching material, organise taught modules, encourage excellent admissions to the School through participation in recruitment events and outreach activities, and contribute significantly to student pastoral support.

candidates should have a PhD in a related field. You will have potential to deliver university teaching that is research-led, innovative, and creates high levels of student satisfaction. You will also be able to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification. You may, but not necessarily have, practice as a senior biomedical/clinical scientist.

This full-time post is available from 1 August 2024 on a fixed term basis for five years.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child Barred List.
