IT Support agent:Job description:Job location: Oxford Job location: Rewley House, central Oxford & Ewert House, Summertown Join Our Team as IT Support agent We are pursuing to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Support agent to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a thriving environment where you'll encounter a diverse range of tasks and technologies, providing you with a fulfilling and compensateing function. The expansion of our Department and the increasing workload of our Information Technology Office have created the need for a talented IT Support agent like you. This is a full-time position, available on a permanent contract. About the function As our IT Support agent, you'll be the first point of contact for staff, tutors and students, providing essential support and advice on IT matters. Your primary tasks will include: » Offering first-line IT support for PC and Mac devices, including troubleshooting SSO and MFA issues. » Handling activation code requests and resolving IT issues both in person and remotely. » Investigating telephone and wireless network issues and performing network cabling and patching as required. » Managing equipment procurement and maintenance, including hardware/software installation and printer maintenance. » Ensuring compliance with legislative and University cybersecurity and data protection policies. You'll have the chance to work alongside practiced professionals and gain exposure to a wide array of tasks, technologies and systems. this function offers ample scope for training and professional development, allowing you to enhance your skills and grow in your career. About you You will have prior IT support practice in a university or business environment. You will have excellent personal skills, the capability to work well under pressure, and a good sense of humour and patience. Strong attention to detail and a good working expertise of Microsoft Office and Windows 10 are also essential requirements of the function, together with practice with laptop/desktop installation, configuration, and printer maintenance.
