Offer: Lecturer (Teaching) in Film Production and Visual Effects 0.3FTE:Job description:Job location: London The Department of Culture, Communication and Media (CCM) is a department of IOE, UCL's Faculty of Education and Society. It is committed to excellence in teaching, research and consultancy in the areas of: Media and Cultural Studies, Art, Design and Museology; Academic writing; English suitable education Applied Linguistics; Music Education; Multimodality studies; Learning with Digital Technologies. You will serve as a lecturer specialising in Visual Effects for Filmmaking, responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction in postproduction VFX. You will play an important function in the detailed preparation for and delivery of the BA Media. You will also contribute an important specialism to the range of skills required by the programme. In addition to teaching at undergraduate level, you will contribute to Masters and PhD programmes in media, and to research, expertise exchange and consultancy activities in ReMAP, the expertise Lab, and eventually the SCCI at UCL East. You will also contribute to planning and delivery of workshops for schools and communities in East London as part of UCL East's Widening Participation programme. You will have a PhD (completed or close to completion) or comparable industry practice in film production with focus on visual effects and expertise of industry workflows and production pipelines. practice in the media/film industries is desirable.
