Applications are invited for an appointment as Lecturer in Regulatory Complianceand Quality at University of Galway. This is a part-time (0.5FTE), permanent post.
The School of Biological and Chemical Sciences (SBCS) in the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Galway invites applications for a Lecturer in in Regulatory Complianceand Quality position, commencing September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. Candidates with postgraduate level teaching practice in regulatory compliance and quality and related fields are particularly sought. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous practice of coordinating modules and courses at 3rd level, as well as previous practice of working or collaborating with the commercial Med Tech sector.
The Lecturer will be located within the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences, which hosts programmes and pathways in Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biopharmaceutical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Genetics/Genomics, Medicinal Chemistry, MedTech, Microbiology, and Plant and Agribioscience. We also offer postgraduate taught programmes in Medical Technology Regulatory Affairs and Quality, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, AgriFood Sustaincapability & Technology, and Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security.
The Senior Lecturer will be expected to work closely with connected MSc programme. As a type A lecturer, the focus of the position is on teaching and administration, however development of research activities is desirable, particularly to enable research-led teaching. The MSc in Medical Technology Regulatory Affairs and Quality at the University of Galway involves working with students and groups from diverse backgrounds.
