An practiced Early Years and Teaching adjunct Tutor/Assessor (full time)
About the function
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our growing Caring Professions Work-located Learning Team for the appointment of a full time Tutor/Assessor to support our apprentices and adult part-time learners in early years and education.
We are seeking for a motivated and practiced Tutor/Assessor who has a proven track record of providing work-located teaching, learning and assessment in the this sector area.
The prosperous candidate will hold:
   » A minimum of level 3 Early Years or Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification.
   » A level 3 assessors award.
   » I level 4 IQA award
   » A minimum level 4 teaching certificate and/or be willing to work towards a level 5
   » Ideally have a level 5 management qualification
You will have have practice of supporting the development of up to date expertise, expertise and behaviours relating to the key priorities for this sector and its employers. You will have practice of teaching and assessing apprentices and adults.

Oldham College is a medium sized general further education college, with a turnover of almost £25m. It has one main campus in the centre of town, and this is in the third phase of a £40m redevelopment which began in 2012. Higher education is taught on a second, dedicated campus, a short walk away. The College delivers a full range of work-related education and training, including 16-18 programmes of study, T levels, apprenticeships, adult learning and higher education. It has over 5000 full-time students and 600 undergraduates.
The College is in the top quartile for 16-18 programmes of study and English GCSE resits, and in apprenticeship provision, but is the second highest performing provider Greater Manchester. The quality of its higher education provision is better than many established universities.
