The function
We are seeking for an enthusiastic and organised individual who wants to make a difference to the student practice at the University of Bristol Business School. You will be part of the Professional Liaison Network (PLN), a team which enable students to apply their degrees in real world contexts by connecting them to a network of professional relationships. This includes a range of different educational activities that enhance the student practice, such as mentoring, in-curriculum placements and applied projects, and events.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract.
What will you be doing?
The function will have sole responsibility for planning, organising and delivering applied projects for the Business School, whilst also working collaboratively and flexibly with the other team members, and deputising for the Professional Liaison agent as necessary. The function includes collaborative work with industry partners for postgraduate taught programmes, such as MSc Business Analytics. The function holder will need to be creative in engaging organisations to work with and building strong relationships. Effective communication expertise will also be crucial in working closely with internal teams across the University and within the School.
You should apply if
The function will be very varied, including elements of communications (internally and externally), events planning and delivery, contacts management, scheme planning and delivery, and project management. You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication expertise as well as administrative practice. Some practice of building collaborative relationships with a range of audiences will be beneficial. Above all, We are seeking someone who can make a positive and proactive contribution - this is a fast-moving area and We are seeking for someone with ideas they want to input.
